Breathing Tour Day 3 at Oakhurst Elementary

Oakhurst Elementary Owls are synchronized to Love Time. Pure and simple. The entire school breathes together for wisdom and positivity.

So much to hoot about our time here where we felt a boost to our hearts from their compassionate and caring principal, teachers and staff and students.

Our hearts expanded in all directions with breathing flags in every single classroom, entranceway and library. And smiles everywhere.

PE Coach Kira Wilsterman led her Kindergarten class through the 4 breaths to the tune of Breathe Free and the attitude that each breath develops a compassionate, friendly attitude toward ourselves, others and into the world. We released our sluggish stains and laughed whole-heartily.

First Grade Teacher Stacie Kenner’s students led the four breaths with us even though they had already breathed in the morning. We encourage children to choose their stance each day-sitting, standing or lying down. Sometimes even walking around. Some sat and some stood and all participated.

Breath Of Joy was led with serious joy!

Ashlynn shared that forward folding at the end of the exhale” helps our hearts get bigger and wider and over our heads so love can be bigger than the worries in our heads.”  Our mouths and hearts were stretched on all sides from her insight!

Washing Machine Prep worked out the dust and was led by quiet vigor.

The sounds of their machines were musical!

Wake Up Mountain woke up our heart centers.

Lotus Breath rooted us into ourselves so we could rise up and connect to each other.

Here we are connecting our palms after the last lotus breath. They were going for a spiralling love connection. Stacie creates the energy of unconditional love in her class.Everything is possible and everyone is accepted and cherished.  It was palpable.

We shared the Handshake Hug Breath we learned from Chase at Winnona Elementary.  Clasp hands and inhale to the count of 4.

Exhale and you connect the front of your hearts and gently pat the back of your hearts for four counts.

Thank you Oakhurst Owls for connecting to your breath, to each other and to the state of Georgia.
